The 70's cheesiness in this commercial is outstanding.
Even without it's iconic breakthrough in the Back to the Future Trilogy, the DeLorean story is freakin' epic! The story involves the British Government, the FBI, and one odd man's quest to live the dream..
It's quite funny how both the DeLorean and the SEGA Dreamcast share almost identical after-market stardom in their respective fan-bases; The Dreamcast is the most modded game console on the planet with new games coming out about every couple years and the DeLorean Motor Company was relaunched internationally years ago. DMC has recently announced that they have completed an all-electric DeLorean (yes, those suckers are finally electrical!) which will unfortunately cost around $95k. I may have to head down to DMC CA and test-drive one this summer!
Fun fact: In the intro to the Inspector Gadget cartoon, the Gadget Mobile transforms into a DeLorean!
